Soaring Eagles Banquet
Posted March 2024
Live Oak High’s Soaring Eagle Banquet is where Live Oak’s top scholars are recognized for their outstanding academic achievement and scholarly success in high school. Awards are given for cumulative GPAs of 4.0 and above and currently enrolled in an AP class, ACT scores of 27 or higher, passing AP Exams, and other titles with AP earned such as AP Scholar where a student must have passed three or more AP exams with a score of 3 and AP Scholar with Distinction which are students who have passed three or more AP exams with a score of 4 or higher. The ceremony is led by the Senior Class Representatives and speeches are given by the seniors who had a cumulative GPA of 4.3 or above with AP classes and their most influential teachers. In total, over 300 students attended the banquet—the largest Soaring Eagle Banquet yet! Insightful, encouraging speeches were made by students and teacher alike. Parents and guardians thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the ceremony and thanked Live Oak for its recognition of successful students, but the faculty organizing the event directs all gratitude to the students who excel in the classroom and make the banquet possible. Each student who came to the banquet has excelled the scholastic expectation set by our academic overseers. Congratulations to our Soaring Eagles!
